Vampire masquerade bloodlines which clan

Compulsion: Ruthlessness — to the Lasombra, failure is not an option. Their Blood will urge them to any act conceivable to reach their goals, whether in the moment or in Byzantine plots lasting centuries. Derided as Lunatics by other vampires, the Blood of the Malkavians lets them perceive and foretell truths hidden from others. Disciplines: Auspex , Dominate , Obfuscate.

Bane: Fractured Perspective — all Malkavians are cursed with at least one type of supernatural, mental derangement. Depending on their history and the state of their mind at death, they may experience delusions, visions of terrible clarity, or something entirely different. Compulsion: Delusion — their extrasensory gifts running wild, the vampire experiences what might be truths or portents, but what others call figments of imagination, dredged up by Hunger. The Ministry always has something to offer.

This often cult-like clan recruits those able to employ temptation as a weapon. To the Serpents, everything has a price. Disciplines: Obfuscate , Presence , Protean.

Bane: Abhors the Light — when exposed to direct illumination — whether natural or artificial — members of the clan recoil. Their Blood chafing at these bindings, the Minister suffers a burning need to break them. The Nosferatu wear their curse on the outside. Their bodies horribly twisted and deformed through the Embrace , they lurk on the fringes of most cities, acting as spies and brokers of information.

Using animals and their own supernatural capacity to hide, nothing escapes the eyes of the so-called Sewer Rats. Disciplines : Animalism , Obfuscate , Potence. Bane : Repulsiveness — hideous and vile, all Nosferatu are physically deformed in some way by their Embrace.

Some can still pass for mortal, while others are walking breaches of the Masquerade. Most Nosferatu employ powers of misdirection to mask their hideous appearance when among others. Compulsion : Cryptophilia — the need to know permeates the vampire.

They become consumed with a hunger for secrets, to know that which few or no one knows, almost as strong as that for blood. They also refuse to share secrets with others, except in strict trade for greater ones. Masters of misdirection, the Ravnos prefer not to fight or bleed for something they can obtain through subtler means.

They can charm and vanish within the same mortal breath, and those once fooled quickly learn to question their very senses when in the company of Ravens. Always on the move, the Ravnos can never rest in the same place for long lest their curse light them on fire as they slumber.

Disciplines: Animalism , Obfuscate , Presence. Compulsion: Tempting Fate — the vampire is driven by their Blood to court danger. Putting themselves and others at risk, they will court destruction for the sake of flair and panache. Introduced in: Vampire: The Masquerade Companion available for free in the account section.

Most of their kind lost to undead usurpers, the highly desirable Blood of the hunted Salubri is a prize to other vampires. This, and their reluctance to Embrace, makes them rare in the modern nights. They often recruit those on the edge of death, believing their curse can provide the worthy a second chance, and they count some of the most humane vampires among their ranks.

Disciplines : Auspex , Dominate , Fortitude. Bane: Hunted — Kindred of other clans are especially… appreciative of Salubri vitae. When a non-Salubri partakes of the blood of a Cyclops, they often find it difficult to pull themselves away.

Compulsion: Affective Empathy — the Kindred becomes overwhelmed with empathy for a personal problem that afflicts someone in the scene, seeking to further its resolution. Known for their seductive nature, enthralling demeanor, and eloquent grace to the point of obsession, Toreador vampires Embrace artists and lovers into their ranks, forever trying to stir their own deadened hearts.

Clan Banu Haqim, previously known as Assamites, often get typecasted by Western Kindred as assassins. However, they are more scholars, warriors, and guardians that stay independent from the modern Kindred and their "problems.

Members of Banu Haqim today take positions that let them become guardians and warriors, often ending up with border patrols, security forces, and police departments. This factor means they most likely possess the Disciplines Celerity, Obfuscate, and Thaumaturgy. Obfuscate lets them manipulate shadows, while Thaumaturgy lets them cast blood magic.

True power lies in art, and the Toreador clan leads the charge in the fine arts. Toreadors in Bloodlines 2 stay consistent with their portrayal across the games — they indulge in beauty, passion, and the arts. Toreadors find themselves in constant pursuit of beauty, be it through their voice, the pen, the brush, their bodies, or even their minds. It'd be a mistake for anyone to assume they're hedonists, as Toreadors are creators in their own right.

A Toreador stands out in any crowd thanks to Presence, their Discipline that can allure anyone. They also possess Celerity, allowing them to perform feats with mesmerizing speed.

Both a clan and some form of religion, Ministry members practice a wide array of traditions that hope to lead to Set's resurrection. The Ministry is unplayable in Bloodlines 2 , but they most likely possess the Disciplines of Presence, Obfuscate, and Protean.

Obfuscate allows them to manipulate shadows, meanwhile, Protean Chiropteran or Nebulation in Bloodlines 2 allows them to change form — be it in the form of mist or growing claws. Readers will probably think Malkavians are crazy after a few sentences. Malkavians find themselves gifted with remarkable insight. People who interact with Malkavians say they demonstrate different kinds of mental "illnesses" — they might seem compulsive, depressed, or showing a kind of psychosis.

Malkavians suffer from a Discipline called Dementation, which lets them impart their psychosis to others. They also possess Auspex, a special "sense" that lets them see auras, project their astral selves, and, combined with Dementation, gleam insights they sadly can't explain. Pro-tip: Players should take note of what Malkavians say, as Malkavian dialogue in Bloodlines 1 foreshadowed the previous game's events. Clan Ravnos often get mistaken for Tremere due to their ability to cast a wide array of illusions.

However, the Ravnos are more than this misconception, and they hide a lot of secrets within their veil of "tricks. In the modern timeline, weakened Ravnos clan members are most likely wandering the world to seek shelter. They most likely possess the Disciplines of Fortitude, Animalism, or Chimerstry. The latter allows them to cast illusions that, with enough power, can materialize themselves in reality.

Clan Ventrue established the Camarilla, an ages-old gathering of socialites and elites that originally established vampire traditions and the Masquerade.

My first playthrough was Ventrue. It makes some dialogues easier to get through, but the blood-sucking hindrance can get annoying Malkavian as your first playthrough I do not recommend. They're so whacked out I was mightily confused my first attempt was Malkavian but it was so jarring Toreador, Brujah and Gangrel are fairly "standard", but I felt that they took away from the immersion a little.

Nosferatu is probably the most difficult, as you can't walk around most of the time. Tremere are the pasty brainy types. They die easily unless you're well stocked up on range weapons. Which cost money. Eric Zobacz profil Zobacz posty. That's pretty much the Ventrue. You will shine in dialogues and 'transe' from your dominate discipline will help you sneak past bad guys. Unfortunately, neither of the two clans with Obfuscate are recommended for beginners.

Only Malk and Nos have it. And Obfuscate is the de-facto stealth discipline. That being said a high stealth skill will get you a long way. Not as far as obfuscate I think anything but Nosferatu. I personally prefer Gangrel because he's the best in combat in my opinion. I've always liked working alone in reality, too. So Gangrel appeals to me more than the others.
