When do babys complexion change

Add a comment. Don't use regular baby soaps, try with Dermadew or Teddibar soaps, it will improve your baby skin tone.

Baby colour changes quite a few times but by months you have a fair idea of true complexion. All babies are born fair, that is not the real colour. Anyway the baby looks to be the same colour as the hand on her head so I guess its normal right? Skin colour is dependent on genes and nothing will change it. You can start massages etc with doctor approval. Geverally best to wait weeks. If both parents are dark, expect the baby's skin color to be dark as well. Your lo is adorable!

Well as everyone said skin color is dependent mostly on genes. My baby is 9mo but still I can see her skin changing color several times.. I massage with coconut oil and use Himalaya soap. In 3rd month you will come to know the real color, even in first two days my baby was fair but after that till 2nd month her colour was dark.

Again it got changed so dont worry slowly it will change. I m using himalya soap and oil which is really good for baby skin. Even my babys color changes n differs from day to day sometimes fair n sumtimes dark.

There are so many children with parents of different origins, there are adopted children, foster care, all sorts of reasons why a child may not look exactly like one or both of their parents. My experience is that children are often more open-minded than adults. They ask, you answer and then they get on with their life. Of course the child may get questions or comments, but if the parents are open and cool about it from the start, chances are much higher that this will never be a problem at all.

You are delusional. I was teased mercilessly as a child for my nose. Other kids I knew had it much worse. The 6 fingered boy was eventually removed from school. Kids are horrible to those who are different. My 3 month old daughter has little dark legs but her face color is fair. Anything we should try to make body complexion same over face and legs.

Give the child to someone who will love and cherish her, dark skin and all. Your focus is completely wrong. Coming here to ask this outrageous question. Some of you Should not have kids. My mother is cocoa dark brown. Not dark skin. My father? Real light skin P. We love for inside beauty. Give it up. LIDDY i agree chica. If it does, be sure to contact your doctor immediately. It is not unusual for your newborn baby's skin color to change over the coming months.

It can actually take up to six months for your baby's permanent skin color to develop. This is primarily due to genetics. Your baby's skin pigmentation is controlled by genetics and the various genes that he or she inherits from mom and dad. The baby's skin color can be affected by many different genetic substances. The pigment melanin is the most important genetic substance that will determine your baby's true skin color. Keep in mind, that these inherited genes can ultimately result in a wide variety of skin tones for your baby.

When a newborn's skin changes to a yellowish color, this is known as jaundice. If your baby is premature , he is likely to develop jaundice. Actually, over half of all newborns develop jaundice to some extent during the first week of life.

If you think your baby may be jaundiced, gently press the baby's forehead or chest and watch the color return. In some cases, laboratory tests are necessary to assess jaundice which may occur for a number of reasons. Most often jaundice is only a temporary condition, but it's important to note that it can also be a sign of a more serious illness.

Jaundice occurs as old red blood cells break down and hemoglobin is changed into bilirubin. Bilirubin is then removed by the liver.
